TRAINING- Privacy in the Digital Age: Protecting Personal Information

🗓️November 19, 2024, the Faculty of Foreign Languages organized a training session for students titled “Privacy in the Digital Age: Protecting Personal Information.” The event focused on one of the most pressing issues of our modern era—safeguarding personal data in a world increasingly connected through technology. 🔒📲

👉🏻 The panel featured the following speakers:
💻 Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daniela Hasa, Head of the English Language Department, provided insights and practical advice on the importance of protecting personal data. She emphasized key concepts such as privacy protection, email security, and the necessity of regularly updating passwords. Her presentation underscored the role of educators in raising awareness among students about responsible digital behavior.

💻 Mr. Enxhi Mete, cybersecurity expert at the National Cybersecurity Authority, shared in-depth knowledge about the risks and challenges posed by the digital age. He encouraged students to adopt practices like using strong passwords, enabling two-factor authentication, and staying vigilant against phishing attempts. He also highlighted the importance of continuous education about emerging technologies, potential threats, and exercising caution when sharing personal information online.

💻 Mr. Dejan Kushta, IT and Web Specialist at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, discussed strategies for maintaining online privacy and implementing safe policies to protect against digital risks. He presented practical examples and best practices, urging students to approach technology use with responsibility and security in mind. His session concluded with a thought-provoking video he created, raising awareness about sharing personal data on social media platforms.

👥 The event included an interactive Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the panelists. Students discussed real-world scenarios related to privacy and cybersecurity, receiving actionable advice and guidance from the experts.
